Nikci's platform for most of her paintings start with a  recycled board or piece of wood. The wood has been known to be altered during the prep phase. This provides a variation of depth through random placment of the wood grain. All are very textile and are extreamly inviting to touch. Her desired medium is acrylic paint in different applications. She uses pallette knives, brushes, refillable paint markers, and her bare hands to apply it to the canvas.
